The advanced youth training program for youth, with Stephen Burhoe, has been revamped and is more comprehensive than ever. More than just acting training, this is professionalism in the business for youth and parents together.
The new program includes workshops for parents on self tape submissions, talent development, audition preparation, including waiting room etiquette and parental management strategies. There will even be online classes offered to supplement training and make it easier on those who are challenged by long distances. Of course, regular attendance of live classes is always encouraged.
Raising the "professionalism bar" is the goal for this program. Youth actors will receive the best training available.
Stephen Burhoe is known for advancing his students (adults and youth alike) quickly. The bottom line is, his clients book! Ask around.
Additionally, enrolled students receive discounts on private audition preparation. In the last month, his audition prep clients have enjoy a callback rate of over seventy percent and a booking rate of over thirty percent.

Format:
Being a member of this program will consist of regular classes on acting and auditioning. Most classes will be on camera. The classes have been extended past the usual two hours, to accommodate more in depth analysis of the lessons. However, classes will not be scheduled every week. Classes will be scheduled every other week (and may include other blackout dates), allowing for more time for lesson prep by students. Various workshops will. be offended as well and some may be open to the public for a fee, but Rising Star clients are automatically included in these at no additional charge. They are also given priority on reservations for those events with limited seating.
Students will be given specific assignments in order to achieve benchmarks in understanding the craft and the business.
This is a new, more flexible approach to the professional level training program. It adds in the parent support element that is missing from so many other programs. If clients attend regularly and take advantage of all the workshops, this is an extremely cost effective program. The chance to get in over twenty sessions is very realistic.
The program starts August 10th. and runs through the middle of December. Our first three hour session will be on the 10th starting at 11:00 AM. Saturday sessions will be at Glory Bound Ministries, but other classes, including some Friday evening classes, may be offered at other venues (likely North Domingo Baca Multigenerational Center).
This new format makes it flexible for parents and students. Attending, every offering is encouraged, but this format affords more options. However, it is imperative that students meet benchmarks in a timely manner. Remember, this is for students with professional aspirations. Showing up is one of the keys to success in this business .
There are certain prerequisites based on representation, prior training and experience. However, a professional attitude and desire to learn are more important than previous training and experience. Students may be asked to interview and present a monologue performance prior to acceptance. Also, no one under nine years of age. Late enrollment will be allowed up until September 15, but with no late discount or proration.

First class Saturday, August 10, 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM.
Then every other Saturday at Glory Bound and other classes to be announced.
