Players Craft offers ongoing acting classes throughout New Mexico, both online and at studio locations in the Albuquerque metro area. We offer acting workshops and seminars for schools, talent managers, dance studios and more. Players Craft founder Stephen Burhoe is available by appointment for private/online coaching, on-set coaching, and public speaking consultation for individuals and any sales or industrial application.

FREE ACTING CLASS!

Stephen Burhoe's "Famous Fig Newton" is an introductory class and guide to the basics of staging, commercials, and the relationship of actors to each other and to the audience. This class will be on camera and will cover: slating, interviewing, proper cold reading technique, and more! Practical Acting I

This is the first step in the Practical Acting series by Stephen Burhoe. The basics of professional acting from a practical "on set" and "audition room" point of view. Students learn quickly what it takes to get started and survive in the film business/industry. Exercises are designed to reflect actual industry scenarios. On camera work and professional caliber work will be emphasized. Plenty of individual attention ensures that students advance quickly.

Self-Taping for Auditions

A great many of today’s auditions for film and television are self taped submissions directly from actors to casting directors. But Beware! A poorly produced submission can destroy even the best audition performance. They can be professionally produced or simply recorded on a smart phone or tablet at home. Professionally taped is best, (depending on the professional) but it can get extremely expensive if done regularly.
